Benefit Concert - Michael

Here is another clip from the benefit concert Michael did for Joey. This time I have a clip of Michael playing. It took us awhile to get everything off the camera and I only recorded some of the concert. But, I always like to post a few clips of Michael playing. This was the 4th concert he played for Joey and I am so proud of his dedication to do this every fall to help his brother and thankful for our church family. 

Benefit Concert

I tried to post this earlier but I could not get the video to look right. We finally got it up and looking good so now I will post it. Michael played another concert for Joey last Saturday. This was the 4th concert he has played. Our church is so kind to let us do this for Joey and his family every year. It went very well. I had this short video of Zola playing the harp on my phone. The rest of the concert is on my video camera and I haven't even tried to put it on the computer or even looked at it yet. But, I will try to do that this week.

Thought I would post another clip from the benefit concert since I have a few. I didn't really record as much as I thought I would. I didn't even realize he was ready to play his last piece until I heard what he was playing -- then I knew he was ending.  But, I know one thing for sure -- all those piano lessons paid off. 

Benefit Concert

On Saturday our son, Michael, played a benefit concert at our church for Joey and another member that has had a lot of medical problems lately. Our church was so kind to let us have this concert and so many people came out to support both families. It was really nice and Michael did a wonderful job. I feel so blessed to have so many people that care.

The concert was Michael's idea and he did a lot of planning and work -- along with many others from our church. I always tell Michael that those piano lessons paid off because he has used his music to help others or to bring joy so many times. Music is just a part of Michael and has been since he was five years old. 

Benefit Concert Video

Last night's benefit concert went really well. Our church is so very supportive and so many people were there. We go to a church that is small in numbers but has so much love. 

Our son, Michael, did most of the music but Abigail, Anna and Zola all played the harp. I'm posting a short video of Abigail playing.  It is a little noisey because she played while people were coming in and being seated. I am so blessed to have so many children that want to do all they can to help. 

As we load the video off the camera onto the computer I will probably post more. 

Weekend Pictures

Just a few pictures from this weekend. Kids played outside all yesterday afternoon and evening and all day today. Tonight we had a benefit concert at church for Joey and I will probably post a video or two from that tomorrow - if I can get the video off the camera and on the computer. But, for tonight just a few pictures. 

Bethany built this little fort and I have no idea why Kroger bags are a part of it but they are. Though I did tell her I think they have to go.
