Lately, it seems like Andrew and Tess are constantly making Rice Krispies Treats. They make a least two batches a week and sometimes more. Today they made them, again, for after dinner. As usual, they were delicious. Tess loves to bake and cook just about anything. She got a lot of baking supplies for Christmas and is always asking to make something. Andrew also loves making stuff in the kitchen so they have found something they really can enjoy doing together.

Change Of Weather
We went from such cold weather to a couple of really nice days. The kids all went outside and rode bikes today, and they also watched as Andrew filled the swimming pool for the ducks to take a little swim. It was a nice day and I am thankful for some warm days thrown into winter.
Luke and Jakob came by for a little visit today and I got a couple of pictures of Jakob. I don't think I have many pictures of him at all, which is unusual for me. Lately I seem to hold the babies when they come instead of pulling out my camera. This time I did both.

So Cold
It's been so very cold here the past couple of days. The kids have stayed inside and for some reason have been doing a lot of absolutely nothing - which can get really old for me very fast. They are usually good about finding projects or something to do. Finally, this afternoon Bethany said she was going up to her room to sew and I was thrilled. It was about time. Tess decided it was a good idea so she went up, too. So then Piper and Bella went to watch and finally it seemed like everyone found something to do besides walking around doing absolutely nothing and annoying each other. It's only January and I'm already thinking of summer.

Caroline
Today was a special day for our family as Caroline went forward in church and accepted Christ and will be baptized in a few weeks. We have talked about this for quite awhile and then this week Caroline asked if she could go forward and I knew it was time. She was ready. She is so very happy and spent her afternoon reading different passages in her Bible and telling everyone she saw that she was going to be baptized.
I do know that Caroline's headband does not match her dress, but she so wanted to wear it today when she went forward and I just didn't care.

First Nature Walk Of 2019
We actually haven't been on many nature walks lately so today I promised the kids we would take a short walk. It was so windy that it seemed so much colder than it actually was. We didn't walk very long but it was nice and we came home to have dinner and brownies.

Haircut
Bella has told me daily for the past week that she needed a haircut - actually she would usually point to her bangs as they were starting to get in her eyes. So, I finally got it done. Well, Abigail took her for me and Bella was thrilled with her shorter bangs and a little taken off the ends. She was all smiles.

590 Hours
I was checking Bethany's machine today and realized that she had done 590 hours of vest time in a little over 5 months. That's a lot of time for a kid to sit and get chest PT, but a very necessary thing for her. She usually does this with a very good attitude. I do know it is boring for her and she does always dread it and she tries to put it off as long as possible. I try to find things to occupy her as she does her vest and nebulizer, but sometimes it is just boring no matter what I try to do. Good thing is that she is doing very well now, and she is finally not coughing and is not growing anything she doesn't usually grow. Things are good.
It was a nice day and the kids played outside most of the day. Bethany spent a long time riding the new bike she got for Christmas from her sister. Best gift Katie could have given her as Bethany loves to ride and the exercise is so good for her. Evelyn and Liam came over to play and all the kids had a nice day outside, and I so hope we have some more warm days.
