Spring

Today actually felt like spring. I decided we needed to take a walk and just enjoy nature a little. The kids love to walk and get in the creek and look for anything they can catch so we spent a couple of hours doing that. It was so nice. The girls ended up in the muddy water and got their shoes soaking and their legs muddy, but they had fun and we haven't had a good walk in awhile. They had no luck catching anything. They didn't care what it was - they just wanted to catch anything out of the water or even flying around, but there was nothing to be seen. 

I got them Happy Meals on the way home and they sat outside and ate on the porch - they were way too muddy to eat in the house. It was a pleasant afternoon and evening. I sat on the porch and watched the kids play after dinner and really enjoyed it finally warming up enough to do this. I am so ready for warm weather. 

We have read and read lately. We start our morning off with reading and we end our evenings that way so many times. We have found so many good books lately and I will share them in another post. For now I will just post some pictures of our walk today. 

 

World Down Syndrome Day

Today is World Down Syndrome Day. I thought I would just post some old pictures of Sarah, Caroline and Claire that I was going through the other night. They were so little and I don't usually post any pictures of them when they were really young. I have posted plenty of Bella and Sophia when they were small - in Bulgaria and when they first arrived here. But, most haven't seen Sarah, Caroline or Claire when they were small.  Looking back at these old pictures brings back such memories. 

This weekend Bethany got her tadpoles in the mail and you would have thought it was Christmas. All the girls were so excited. They had their small plastic tank and spring water ready and waiting and now the tadpoles are in their bedroom - and they check on them constantly. I think they have one more set of tadpoles that still need to come now. Bethany said she is giving those to Bella.

This afternoon I took Bethany, Piper and Tess out with me for some time together. We just went and got ice cream and then took it to the duck pond to eat. It was a little chilly so we didn't stay long. I try to take the girls out individually so we can have time alone, but many times these three like to all go at once. They really are good friends and I could not be happier with how well they all get along.
