Our special thing today was to make fudge - the recipe that has been in our family for probably 75 years or more. We call it our secret recipe because we have never seen any similar. It is really good but you have to have the touch to make it. Today Andrew made it and everyone watched to see if it turned out. It didn't. Way too soft. So, he tried again and it worked. That was pretty good because sometimes it takes five or six times to get it right -- especially good for him because it was his first time making it.
This is the bad batch and you can kind of tell it doesn't look right. Way too soft to even cut, but it didn't stop the kids from eating it with a spoon. They said it tasted good anyway.

I am going to go ahead and post more of my pictures from yesterday and the kids making gingerbread houses. So, this will be a little picture heavy.
