The Twenty-Four Days Before Christmas Day - 4

Our special thing today was to bring down the Christmas books - well, some of them. We have so many that we usually take a few days to bring all of them down. Today we brought down one large bucket, a small bucket, and few baskets. We kind of like to take it slowly. The kids are always thrilled to welcome back the books they love so much each year. They have looked at them and read them all afternoon.

My daughter, Anna, also made gingerbread cookies with the kids so they actually did more than one thing today. She helped make the cookies and the younger kids decorated them. These are our first Christmas cookies this year and they had so much fun making them.

They also made some ornaments from a kit we had left over from last year, but I had nothing to do with that. I think Tess found the kit and some of the kids made the snowflake ornaments. It was a good day and I got a lot done - thanks to help from my older daughter.
